You might not know but you could be cleaning your brewer all wrong!

I know I don’t touch base on this topic that often (or at all) because well, let’s be honest, Flavia brewers are known for not needing daily cleaning and almost no weekly cleaning. So, it’s easily forgotten about!

Many people might have a hard time believing that these brewers simply don’t need a lot of care. This isn’t necessarily to tell you how to clean it, since you pretty much just wipe it down. Instead, it’s mainly going to tell you what NOT to use!

Going on a trip that you can’t take your precious brewer with you?

  • Before storing away, remove and empty cold tank.
  • After storing away for longer than one week, rinse the cold tank thoroughly and perform a HOTWATER cycle with fresh, filtered water to rinse the brewer.

Now for the fun part!!
General Cleaning of Brewer

  • Wipe the outside of the brewer and the inside of the packet door area with a clean damp cloth.

All done!

WHAT NOT TO DO/USE!!

  • Do NOT store Freshpacks in fridge or damp environment.
  • Do NOT wash brewer with excessive amounts of water – it could get into the brewer causing a malfunction.
  • Do NOT use strong detergents or a dishwasher.
  • Do NOT apply any products that contain benzene, they may damage the surface of your brewer.
  • Do NOT clean with brushes or scouring agents as this may damage the surface of your brewer.
  • Do NOT use cleaning agents as they may leave a residue on the brewer.

Summary:

Daily care = NONE

Weekly = filling water tank & emptying drip tray

6-12 Months (depending on use) = change filter on C150 & C200

Hope this helps!
