Office Coffee Machines

Coffee is an important productivity booster in the workplace since many individuals find that they’re more productive after a coffee break. According to National Coffee Association, the average American coffee drinker drinks just over 3 cups per day, that's over a thousand cups per year. So having an office coffee machine could be a simple yet effective way of boosting your employees productivity and wellbeing.

Office coffee machines are a convenient and cost-effective way for you to provide your employees with a steady supply of high-quality coffee and other beverages. From traditional drip coffee makers to single-serve brewers and espresso machines, there are a range of options to suit your needs.

Pros and Cons of using an office coffee machine

Pros:

  • Office coffee machines offer a convenient and easy way for your employees to brew a fresh cup of coffee or other beverage. This can save time and reduce the need for them to leave the office to buy coffee.
  • Many office coffee machines offer a range of customization options, allowing your employees to adjust the strength of their coffee or add flavored syrups to create a customized drink.
  • An office coffee machine can be a cost-effective way for you to provide your employees with a steady supply of coffee and other beverages.
  • Providing your employees with a convenient way to get their coffee fix can help improve productivity and morale in the office.

Cons:

  • Office coffee machines can be expensive to purchase and set up, especially if you choose a high-end model.
  • Office coffee machines require regular maintenance and cleaning to ensure that they are functioning properly. This can be time-consuming and may require additional resources.
NOTE: One of the wonderful elements that sets Flavia coffee machines apart from other single cup brewers is that it's impossible for cross contamination to occur, so much less cleaning and maintenance.
  • Some office coffee machines may only offer a limited selection of coffee and other beverages, which may not be suitable for everyone's tastes.

Overall, office coffee machines can be a convenient and cost-effective way for you to provide your employees with a high-quality coffee experience which could drive employee satisfaction and productivity. However, it is important for you to consider the initial cost, maintenance requirements, and potential limitations of these machines before making a decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an office coffee machine cost?

Flavia office coffee machines range from $250 to $2,825 at CoffeeASAP.com but they all come with free shipping.

Why do you need a coffee machine in an office?

Employee moral as well as customer satisfaction have been documented to increase substantially by simply replacing the old coffee pots with single cup systems that have a variety of flavors, caffeine levels, and even drink types like the Flavia Creation 600. Also, having a coffee machine in offices with waiting areas can help provide better customer service for the company. Happy employees and customers are utmost keys to business success.

Are office coffee machines worth it?

The costs of employees throwing out pots of coffee can really add up! Every office has those who want every cup they have from a fresh pot and will throw away a whole pot of coffee made 10 mins ago and sit there for 10 mins to brew a new fresh pot. The costs of throwing away pots of coffee and time spent with employees waiting for more coffee is definitely a factor to understand why the higher price per cup of single cup coffee machines is not that much more. Yet things like employee moral and customer satisfaction can be harder to measure, but much more important than the cost of coffee.

How to use an office coffee maker?

To use the Flavia brewers, simply insert the Freshpack of your choice, close the door and select which size/type of drink you would like.

What is the best coffee machine for an office?

The best Flavia coffee machine for an office depends on a variety of different factors like how many people will be using it, if they want additional drink selections beyond coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and also if they have a water line accessible. For instance, the Barista brewer is the only Flavia brewer that brews espressos and the C600 with the Chill Module attachment is the only brewer combination that can brew cold drinks like infused water and iced coffee.

What is the difference between an espresso machine and a coffee maker?

Espresso machines and coffee makers differ mainly in the brewing method. Espresso uses a small amount of nearly boiling water and high pressure through finely ground coffee beans to come up with a thick, concentrated form of coffee with a bold flavor (also known as espresso shot) in about 30 seconds. In contrast, most coffee makers use coarser grind coffee and rely mainly on gravity to gradually pull hot water through the coffee and filter, which could take 10 minutes or longer. The Flavia Barista brewer is the only Flavia coffee machine that can brew espresso and coffee. All the other Flavia brewers can brew coffee, tea and hot chocolate but not espresso.

Who makes Flavia coffee machines?

Since the early 1980's, Flavia was owned by M&M Mars, but Mars sold the brand to Lavazza, a well known Italian coffee company, around January 2021.

How do you use Flavia coffee machines?

The Flavia brewers are so simple to use because of their unique "freshpacks" or filterpacks. It's an aluminim foil packet with a real cloth filter mesh inside that comes out the bottom during brewing. So, all the mess is self contained and doesn't drip coffee all over or leave a messy funnel area when you remove the filterpacks. You just push a button on the machine, insert the pack, and close the door.  In less than 1 minute, you have the freshest coffee without any mess! In fact, some of the brewers (C500, C600, Barista) will remove the freshpacks for you and throw in the trash bin.  You can have it dump them into the internal trash bin which holds approx 25 used packs or into a larger trash can that inside the counter where you place the machine.
